An event, at Leeds Valley Park was held on Thurs 24th Nov, in order to discuss the potential future of the Leeds Manufacuring Sector. Opening the event, Leeds City Council chief executive Tom Riordan said: “We have the potential to grow if we can work together.
“The growth that will take place in Leeds is likely to be in the south and west of Leeds.
“Manufacturing is crucial to the Leeds city region economy.”
It was decided that greater co-operation and more support from banks and government are needed to help companies stay alive and expand.
